Costs and Terms

Basic costs can be found on the pages for the various services. Additional costs will apply in the following circumstances:

  • Any extra time will be charged at $15 per additional 15 minutes.
  • Prices listed are “home” prices, for College Park, Hyattsville & Riverdale Park, MD. Additional driving fees may apply outside of this area. “Home” prices are also available around the Animal Resource Foundation, subject to scheduling constraints.
  • All prices based on a minimum of one adult (16 or older) handler per animal. Multiple animals (with or without multiple handlers) require special arrangement.
  • Full fee, including driving fees, will be charged for all sessions cancelled with less than 24-hours notice. All sessions and packages must be used within 6 months of purchase.

Discounts

In order to promote adoption and rescue, we offer a “Good Start” discount to the initial session for all recently (within 3 months) adopted animals. This discount is 50% of the initial consult fee. This discount is also available for foster families working with recognized shelters and rescues during up to one year of foster care.

We offer a number of additional discounts including:

  • Adopted discount: 10% lifetime discount for adopted animals
  • American University discount: 5% discount for current AU students, faculty & staff and AU alumni
  • Student discount: 5% discount for current students
  • Military discount: 5% discount for military personnel and their families with military ID

Combined discounts cannot exceed 15% or size of the largest discount. Discounts do not apply to pet-sitting services.
